Malahini 16 Classic Outboard Runabout Glen-L DesignThis listing is for a home-built, wooden outboard runabout, built from plans sold by the Glen-L Marine Design company of Bellflower, California www.glen-l.com one of the largest and most reputable suppliers of boat plans and building supplies since 1953. I am the sole owner, having completed this build in July, 2017, and unfortunately due to my work schedule and family demands, I have only had the boat out a handful of times since. The boat has always been stored on the trailer, inside an attached garage, away from the elements, and under a dust cover. With the exception of a few trips to my local lake it is in like-new condition. The boat is faithful to the Glen-L Malahini design. Specifications for all the building materials are listed below, and as you can see, no expense was spared for any facet of this build. The boat is powered by an extremely clean, low-hour, 50hp 2-Stroke Mercury outboard engine. All regular maintenance activities are up to date including cleaning of the carburetors, changing of the gear lubricant, spark plugs, and impeller. The engine runs, shifts, and turns smoothly with Teleflex steering cable and Mercury controls, and is quiet in operation.
