I am offering a B H antique oil l that was electrified at some point. Bardley and Hubbard was a well known oil l maker and they made several different styles of oil ls. They were produced from the late 1800s to the early 1900s. Then in 1940s companies created a revival of this style l, but it was electric, and they called them Gone With the Wind ls because the movie had erroneously displayed this style l in spite of the fact that these ls had not yet been manufactured during the Civil War. Their correct name is a Hurricane Oil L. The brass base of this l is original and antique. During those revival years from the 1940s through 1960s people were finding the original old oil ls in attics and barns, and converting them to electric. This is what happened in this l. The shade is a reproduction from the 1940s-1960s revival. You will see this same shade quite often in the conversions. The original antique Hurricane L shades were hand painted, and the reproductions were done by machines both are made of milk glass porcelain and very fragile. Although the reproductions are very old they are not yet an antique, but still very sought after. This l includes the Chimney which stands 21 tall and the shade is 10 wide. This l is in very good condition but there are a couple spots where there is wear, see pictures. This is a very attractive l shade, and is the one that came with the l when I bought it.
