This ad is for my 1983 Baja Jet Drive Bowrider Sport Boat. I bought it in1996 in decent running condition and did a complete teardown of everything out of the boat. It received a Custom paint job with special Interlux marine paint, new upholstery, new smoked Lexan windshields, and all aluminum pieces were powder coated. The Berkeley Jet drive was rebuilt and it was repowered with a fresh Ford 351 Cleveland. It has a teak swim platform. It also has a Place Diverter Jetovator on it and the hydraulic positioner upgrade. It also includes a Custom red boat storage cover and also a smaller cover that just goes over the open bow for those that want to play. I did all the work and spent an additional $15K on parts and accessories. It includes a Cox C channel framed trailer. It is a dual axle. All the accessories like the fenders and walking boards, hubs and axles, etc. are also all powder coated. This boat really hauls yet can still carry 10 passengers. When first rebuilt it would reach just over 65 mph, with one person in the boat. It can still reach 57 mph. But it needs to have the hull smoothed and probably a tune-up to reach the 60s again.I am 68 and have recently purchased a boat more suited for my 6 grandchildren. So, I am selling my prized boat. It does need some cosmetic care. It has been cleaned up some since the pictures. It has just been dewinterized and is ready to use. Ideally it is a great project boat that will turn some heads for someone willing to put in about 110th the effort I did. But it can be used as is, once I solve the current ignition issue. Asking $6,800 with ignition fixed. Or take it as is for $6,000.It also includes a paddle and a few life jackets. These boats are hard to find on the East Coast. Out west in California, Arizona, and Texas there are a lot of these boats. In good condition they go for $18K to $25K. It is a great deal. A C channel trailer like this goes for about $2,300. The Ford 351C motor with all the marine equipment like the headers, front cover, etc. is easily worth more than $4,000. The jet and Customer bell housing is worth about $2,000. The Jetovator with hydraulic power is worth over $1,000. I could go on and on, And of course there is the boat itself. If interested, please email me or call me at the posted number. It is a land line so no texts. Thanks for your interest.
