Description

Classic and very original wood motorboat in good running condition. Not a reproduction. Not a retro-mod. Currently in the water and in regular use at a private yacht club. Well rights or club access are NOT included in the sale, the boat must be immediately relocated upon purchase.Original features abound and include teak flag poles, brightwork, windshield, working gauges, and working 6V system, including navigation lights, good battery, and bilge pump. Seats and flooring appear to be 1980s reproductions but quite attractive. Original in-board flat four engine with a throaty exhaust note. Some scratches and bumps, but this is a daily driver, not a trailer queen. Length is 15-6. 1970s era EZ Loader trailer included free with sale separate title. I would buy a smaller, new trailer.Bought from long-time owner three years ago, relined the fuel tank and had the engine gone over, starts and runs fine. Original 80-year old bottom so it has hull leaks of course but they are manageable. I run an extra bilge pump when in dock to be sure. Have properly winterized and stored indoors. Should be lightly sanded and re-varnished on top this winter. Looking to sell as the on-water experience is a bit too vintage, loud, and splashy for my young family - will be looking for a more modern boat. Feels like driving an old Ford Model A on water. I want to see this go to someone who will run it well and enjoy it often, on the lake. It is great fun on the water, but it is not a boat for comfortleisure. Not for novices or the faint of heart. This boat is a single-screw inboard and cannot turn on a dime. Controls are primitive but easily learnable. I can pilot the boat to any area marina on the River or on Lake Saint Clair, and you can be in the water this weekend. Still two months of boating left this yearClear Michigan title is in my name and I have paperwork going back decades. Priced to sell. I have a NYC phone number but am local here in Detroit. Cash only, will not respond to any offers except those offered in person. Serious inquiries only. If I have not responded it is because you sound like a spammerscammer, have proposed a price without seeing the boat, or otherwise dont seem like a serious buyer. If you are not local you must find a local representative, no complicated long distance deals.
